Your doctor’s office has closed until Monday, and you need a prescription refill. Rescue Mental Health & Addiction Services can help. Our Urgent Behavioral Healthcare provides patients immediate access to crisis resources when other community providers are unavailable.
It’s Friday evening, and you realize you’re down to the last dose of your antidepressant medication. Your physician’s staff has left for the weekend. What can you do to refill your prescription? Rescue Mental Health and Addiction Services is here to help.
Rescue’s Urgent Behavioral Healthcare can provide patients with immediate access to mental health resources when other providers are closed or unavailable. When your primary mental healthcare professional is unavailable, our staff can provide prescriptions for the short-term to get you by until you can see your physician. Rescue’s Urgent Care staff will evaluate and treat patients to ensure they can continue their medication until they can visit their primary care provider.
A Growing Problem
Getting access to services is the leading mental health care challenge in the country. Only 25 percent of Americans believe that mental health services are easily accessible—a perception influenced somewhat by lengthy wait times for appointments. Indeed, 38 percent of US adults report waiting longer than a week for services.
For that reason, Rescue’s Urgent Behavioral Healthcare center offers various services for patients who need instant access to mental health or addiction treatment services. In addition to prescriptions for new and existing patients, the center provides ready access to mental health assessments and treatment. Psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, social workers, and counselors are all available in a safe and respectful environment.
Rescue’s Urgent Care is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and via the helpline on Sunday’s.
