It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when mental health becomes an issue for
you or a loved one.  Take a deep breath and look over these simple
guidelines. They should help.


  • Need for immediate attention (self-identified)
  • Threat to self or others 
  • Acute depression lasting two weeks or more
  • Disorganization of thoughts


Rescue is the place to call when you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, such as:

  • Desire to harm self
  • Desire to harm others
  • Lack of basic coping or living skills


Emotional/crying episodes
Persistent feelings of hopelessness and despair
Not caring for self, others.
Not eating normally
Not sleeping normally
Impaired functioning
Irrational or delusional thoughts
Hallucinations
Psychotic symptoms causing a threat to self or others
